CRITERIA FOR SMALL GRANTS
The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia makes up to £1,000 available for small grants each month. Applications are invited from people with aphasia, carers or groups living in the UK.
- No application is considered too small, and the Trust hopes to be able to give as many grants each month as possible. Applicants can re-apply but a maximum of £1,000 will be made to any one person or group in any one year.
- The purpose of these grants is to improve the quality of life for those with aphasia and their carers. This may include equipment, materials and initial assessments; small grants will be given for recreational events only in rare and exceptional circumstances.
- Applications will be considered at the end of each month as our aim is to ensure that the money reaches the grantee as quickly as possible.
- To apply please download the application form below and send it to The Administrator at the address shown below. Alternatively, an application form can be requested by letter or by contacting the Trust’s administrator on 01525 290002.
- The TTA will need a supporting reference from a professional who is involved with either care for the person applying or the group’s work. We recommend that this be included with the application in order to speed up the decision making process.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer funding for the following:
- travel and transport
- loans
- debts
- ongoing speech and language therapy
